Every July, GLS serves as the Asia Grand Finals for the competition element of Global Leadership Link (GLL). Since its inception in 2014, the GLS platform has seen more than 1000 students presenting their research projects to industry experts and fellow participants. The GLS is a nurturing and encouraging environment for youths to exhibit their talents and innovate, injecting fresh and novel ideas.

During the 2-day conference, participants will showcase their research projects on either Science or Global Issues. Participants can decide between the oral presentation or poster presentation category. The best presented team from the oral category will receive a sponsored trip to Japan, to take part in our sister event – Tsukuba Science Edge.

In 2019, this high-level conference will be conducted in collaboration with two of Asia’s top universities – National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), as well as cutting-edge research and scientific institutions including the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and Science Centre Singapore. Top researchers and professors from these institutions will be invited to GLS to provide personalized feedback on the participants’ research projects, to push their boundaries of knowledge and critical thinking.

This opportunity to interact with professors during the competition and networking dinner would also be invaluable to students who wish to gain an insight on campus life in NUS and NTU. To enrich this experience, students will also be chaperoned on campus tours around these two universities, conducted by the university’s students and alumni.
