The GLL Approach

Competition

The competition requires pre-preparation and consists of three tracks:

Global Issues
The Global Issues component aims to nurture sensitivity in the identification of pressing issues and proposal of effective solutions. Participants will present ideas and receive feedback from experts who are well-versed in the fields of social science and social issues.

Science
The Science component aims to nurture budding scientists with an inquisitive mind and strives to solve problems with innovative solutions. Participants will share their inventions and research projects to notable scientists around the region.

Entrepreneurship
The Business component will challenge students to turn patents into feasible business ideas that bring value in a real-world context. Through this exposure, classroom business theories will be brought to life. Participants will pitch their business solutions to leading organisations and industry experts.

Two-day Community-driven Learning Adventure
We nurture future leaders with an appreciation of the heterogeneous nature of society. The Social Issues and Science tracks encompasses a two-day learning adventure, where students will be immersed in spaces of co-creation with often overlooked communities. Future leaders have to be aware that society is not homogeneous; it comprises different groups of people and often overlooked are the elderly, migrant workers and special needs youth. Through this immersive community-driven curriculum, we aim to nurture social awareness, raise consciousness and appreciation of community and social issues.
